What cables do i need for a car amplifier instillation?
Just bought a MTX thunder 300xd amp. I want to run it at 300 watts RMS at 2 ohms for my two 4 ohm 125 watt speakers parallel wired. There website says i should use a 4 AWG wire amp kit.
One question I had was, anyone know where i can get a fairly inexpensive / ok quality kit?
And the other is that on Street wires website, they have 2 amp kits that have exactly the same items in it except one is for a 400 watt amp and cost’s less and another is for a 600 watt amp and cost a lot more. Should i just ignore this and buy the cheaper one considering it has the exact same stuff in it.
Kit contains: 4 AWG power cable, 4 AWG ground cable, 18 AWG remote wire, 100A AFS fuse, AFS fuse holder, 5/16″ ring terminal, 3/16″ ring terminal, 4 AWG spade terminal, 18 AWG spade terminal, red butt connector, cable ties
